I've been sharing the process over my stories on Instagram and Facebook and I've finally gotten to a place where I can officially open for business.
Before moving forward on getting this place and deciding to start a studio, I searched the area for photography studios and realized it was something missing from Hamden, Ct. I considered renting studios and having clients come there to shoot with me but the spaces I found didn't have the feeling I would want to invite my people to (you know because you're my people).
I saw this space and a vision started to bud. I knew I had to give it a try. I had to take a risk. This is my first time ever attempting something like this; leasing a space, and renovating to match an aesthetic in my mind. This was a new experience.
I've told many others that the only way to fail is if you give up. But now I understand, the risk and fear behind doing something beyond your comfort zone and preparation. I feel as though I'm the new kid at a new school with no friends. And now I must navigate these waters, where there might be sharks.
On the other hand, with new challenges comes growth and an opportunity for greatness. So here we go. Let's do this thing.
